Product Description
Ivermectin Tablets USP contain the active ingredient ivermectin, which is an antiparasitic medication. This works by binding selectively and with high affinity to glutamate-gated chloride ion channels which occur in invertebrate nerve and muscle cells, leading to an increase in membrane permeability and resulting in paralysis and death of the parasite. It is primarily used to treat a variety of parasitic infections in humans, including onchocerciasis (river blindness), strongyloidiasis, and other infections caused by roundworms and threadworms. Ivermectin Tablets USP is also widely used in veterinary medicine to treat parasites in livestock and pets.
